The Mid-America Green Industry Council
(formerly PLCAMA) was formed in 1987 to help lawn care and landscape professionals
provide education for ourselves and the general public, to participate in legislative
issues and to promote success and professionalism within our industry.
Furthermore, MAGIC should help raise the awareness of the environmental,
economic and lifestyle benefits of landscapes and promote the significance
of those who preserve and enhance green spaces at home, work and play.
Heartland
Green Industry Expo
MAGICouncil together with the Heart of America Golf Course
Superintendents Association (HAGCSA) and the Missouri Valley Turf Association
(MVTA)
are sponsoring a Heartland Green Industry Expo (HGIE), December 18-19,
2007 in Overland
Park, KS. Mark your calendar and plan to attend, enjoy the networking and education during the
four-tracks offered. Registration information will be available in early
fall.
MAGICouncil’s
Landscape Improvement Awards program reflects the Association’s commitment to
creating and preserving the beauty of our landscape.
The program is designed to reward independent landscape contracting professionals
who execute quality landscaping projects, and to recognize citizens who underwrite such
work. In sponsoring the
Awards program, MAGIC also strives to increase public awareness of
environmental improvement through quality landscaping, and to encourage
the landscape contractors’ consistent use of quality materials and
workmanship.
